Breast cancer is one of the most commonly diagnosed cancers among women in the United States. It accounts for approximately 30% of all new cancer cases diagnosed in women each year and about 1 in 8 women in the U.S.is expected to develop invasive breast cancer during her lifetime. Although breast cancer predominantly affects women, men can also develop the disease, although male breast cancer is considerably less common.
