Lymphoma affects the lymphocytes, a type of white blood cell that helps to fight against infections. In lymphoma, lymphocytes accumulate certain genetic mutations and starts growing abnormally resultant forming a tumor in the lymph nodes, spleen, bone marrow, or other organs.
