1) Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC): It account for almost 85% of all cancer cases diagnosed. Types of Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) are:
a) Adenocarcinoma: It is most common type of NSCLC and is more common in non-smokers.
b) Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC): It is linked to smoking.
c) Large Cell Carcinoma: It is less common and aggressive in nature.
2) Small Cell Lung Cancer (SCLC): It accounts for almost 10 – 15% of cancer cases diagnosed and is more aggressive in nature.
Ayurvedic Diet for Lung Cancer Patients

As per Ayurveda, cow milk is sweet, cold, soft, unctuous, dense, glossy, viscid, heavy, slow and clear in nature. a) Turmeric with Cow Milk:
Turmeric milk which is also known as Haldi Doodh or Golden Milk is prepared by mixing turmeric powder in cow’s milk and further boiling it for few minutes.
This turmeric milk has various health benefits and helps to boost immunity, reduce inflammation, and improve digestion in lung cancer patients. Turmeric milk is rich in antioxidant and help to protect the body from damage caused by free radicals.
b) Cow milk with Dry Fruits:

a) Goat Meat Soup in Lung Cancer Patients:
Goat mutton soup is rich in nutrition and is a flavourful dish. It is light and easily digestible option. Goat Mutton is taken into 250 – 300 gms and is further boiled with 1 lit of water. It can be accordingly boiled in pressure cooker or open pot.
3) Green Moong Dal in Lung Cancer Patients
Green Moong Dal (Green Gram/Mung Bean) is one of the most important dietary component in lung cancer patients and has multiple potential benefits. Benefits of Green Moong Dal in lung cancer patients is mentioned further:
